There
are hundreds of restaurants in the Bonita Springs /Naples
area and most are very good. These are our favorites.
American Breakfast:
Skillets on Bonita Beach Road, East
of US41 is in the Ace Hardware Plaza on the north side. They
do a great American breakfast and lunch. Close around 2pm.
BBQ:
Michelob’s do the best BBQ food ever. Sadly
they close for September and go fishing! They win competitions
for their food and you can buy a bottle of their tangy sauce
when you visit the restaurant, as you’ll need to take
half your meal home with you. Located at the south end of
Airport Road, it is a bit of a drive, but well worth it.
Chinese:
PF Changs, offers a Pan Asian menu and
a step up from the usual Chinese buffet. The food is excellent
and the surroundings very pleasant, be prepared to wait, it
can get busy, or call ahead. Located in the shopping Plaza
at the south east corner of the junction of US41 and Immokalee
Road. (5 miles south of Bonita Beach Road.)
Fancy Tea:
Ritz Carlton Hotel at Vanderbilt Beach
does a very nice formal afternoon tea. You need to make reservations,
but a beautiful place to go for a special occasion.
Victoria’s Secret Rose Café:
located in the Bed Bath and Beyond Plaza at the corner of
Airport Road and Pine Ridge Road, is much less formal than
the Ritz Carlton, but the baking is delicious. Owned by a
couple of ex-pat Brits, they make all their own pastries,
scones and quiches. Give it a try. You’ll love it.
Ice
Cream: The Royal Scoop
is an old-fashioned ice cream store where they make all flavors
on site. They also have a great lunch menu! It is on the corner
of 8th Street and Vanderbilt Dr.
Indian:
Passage to India the best Indian food
in America. Great menu utilizing local fish. Each order is
cooked freshly and can be ordered mild, medium or hot. _ mile
west on Bonita Beach Road. On the left hand side when you
see the Enzos restaurant sign. Call 495 2333.
Island Style:
Tommy Bahamas 3rd St down town Olde
Naples is a restaurant, bar and clothing store. The Tommy
Bahama brand is very influential for ‘Island style’
furnishings and clothing you see around here. This is the
total look! Food and drinks are excellent, in this indoor,
outdoor restaurant; there is often live music so look out
for him when you are being seated, as it can get noisy. This
is a very popular place and hard to get a table in season.
A good place for all the family and kids are made welcome.
Italian:
Anthony’s is an authentic Italian owned restaurant
in the mall at the north east corner of the Bonita Beach Road
and US41 junction.
Campiello Restorante: opposite Tommy Bahama’s
on 3rd Street is a very stylish restaurant, ’’where
ladies do lunch’’. More formal dining and excellent
food. Vergina’s on 5th Avenue:
is reminiscent of a large Italian restaurant in Itlay. The
food is high quality, and if you sit at the open front, you
can people watch like they do in Italy too.
Resort Style:
The Hyatt at Coconut Point has a very
nice pool bar where you can enjoy a poolside lunch or more
formal lunch and dinner in their restaurants inside.
La Playa on Vanderbilt Beach is a small
intimate hotel and has probably one of the best dining experiences
in Naples. You can each on the terrace which is right on the
beach and enjoy a very pleasant lunch or dinner.
